Comments about SBME/COLUMBIA Alexandra Burke - Overcome:
Alexandra Burke definitely has a great voice. Her album breaks no new ground, but holds it's own with most of what is put out in the Pop/R&B arena these days. The one serious misstep on the album, though, is her overblown performance of the now-ubiquitous "Hallelujah." While I can understand the desire to perform it in a slightly different way from most of the other recordings out there, the song requires a simple, understated delivery; the over-produced, "X Factor"-ish performance with the gospel-oriented back-up chorus is wholly inappropriate for this gentle, moving masterpiece.

Comments about SBME/COLUMBIA Alexandra Burke - Overcome:
great start to her career after reading other peoples reviews wasn't sure what to expect, but it is fantastic, there is a couple of slow songs but are still good. she is well on her way to being a national treasure. it has 2 top 5 hits already with most of the songs being single friendly. overall great suprise, great songs, great album.

Comments about SBME/COLUMBIA Alexandra Burke - Overcome:
After heard "Bad Boys" and "Broken Heels" I decided to buy Alexandra's CD. After first listen I stated that it's great ! I like all the tracks except "All Night Long" because it sounds like Chris Brown's song. My favourite song from album are "Nothing But The Girl" and "Bury Me".

Comments about SBME/COLUMBIA Alexandra Burke - Overcome:
Alexandra Has definately got off to a good start with the Massive Hit "hallelujah" included as a bonus on the album,
but the single "bad Boys" is just a taste of great things to come from miss Burke who's vocals on this track are reminiscent of a certain Miss Whitney Houston.
another stand out track is the collaboration "Good Night Good Morning with Ne-Yo cool song.
also "the Silence" has velvety vocals and a heartfelt message that has Alex soaring the heights with her amazing vocal ability , possibly a single contender.
"All Night Long" is another stand out track which will have you dancing round your bedroom or the local disco all night long!!
"six Feet Under" has a motown/amy winehouse flava hich Alex does to great effect love it!!
the second single "Broken Heels " too is a little pop gem of a song.
"Dumb " in my opinion is another possible single which is a stomper of a song again with Alex's flawless vocals.
the title track "Overcome" is more of a personal song from miss Burke that again soars the heights with it's choir and big sound , Alex is truly showing what a diva she can be and then again switching her role on each track to suit her personalities , she is surly here to stay and to be honest there's not a weak track on the album at all.
"Gotta Go" with clever production flawless harmonies and to be honest theres a mix of genres that will suit everyone , i say great work Alex !! i love it!!
