Description
One of the best songs on the album is "Cornerstone", and it's fitting that the tune is the backbone for this new album. Though this album doesn't exactly introduce a new sound for the band, it does provide quite a bit of variance. The overall tone feels much more simple and slow, as if the band was looking to get back to its roots. Still, the songs have soul and they are produced in typically excellent fashion.
"Sketchhead" is another of the great songs on this album, as it features some excellent guitar and drum work. It is a perfect complement to some of the slower stuff and provides a sound for people who love the harder Arctic Monkeys stuff.
All in all, "Humbug" succeeds on a number of levels and it won't be a disappointment for serious Arctic Monkeys fans and casual fans alike.

Comments about INDEPENDENT Arctic Monkeys - Humbug:
This psychedelic album from arctic monkeys is absolutely excellent!! 10 quality (wish for more) tracks. It has the magic touch from Josh Homme (Queens of Stone Age which makes a very original album. Standout tracks: Cornerstone, Secret Door, Dance Little Liar, Pretty Visitors
