Description
Kasabian are a wake-up call to music. They have attitude, they have energy and and they have passion. Kasabian‘s unique style of electronic rock has contributed as much to the musical landscape in recent times as the Stone Roses did in the late 1980’s. Their eponymous debut album has sold more than 1 million copies around the world. Kasabian are one of the hottest bands on the planet... not many bands are name-dropped by The Killers, covered by Jet and joined on-stage by Oasis – all in the same year. The new album ‘The West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum’ was produced by famed Japenese-American hip hop producer Dan ‘The Automater’ Nakamura.

...'West Ryder Silver Bullet and 'Thick As Thieves' display the band's flair for melody and powerful, uncluttered song craft Daily Telegraph
Twitchy, action-movie atmospherics still galvanize the thrust of 'Fast Fuse' and lead single 'Vlad the Impaler.' Spin (p.91)
Kasabian's knack of blending classic sounds with futureproof samples is fantastic and when they're on form - as here - they're peerlessly irresistible The Fly (06/09 p.38)
Trademark Kasabian industrial-sized anthems now come with more pulverising bass riffs and more melodic choruses The Guardian

Comments about COLUMBIA Kasabian - West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum:
These guys just keep getting better. West Ryder shows they really know how to make exciting, original tracks and captivates your attention. What I love most about Kasabian is that they have style and attitude in a way that doesn't provoke loathing as some bands do. Haven't decided yet if it's better than Empire, but i'm very very impressed.:D

Comments about COLUMBIA Kasabian - West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum:
After their stellar second album Kasabian have come back with an album that while maybe lacking the hits of the second is on the whole a better album.
Songs like Vlad The Impaler and Firs will get any party going while West Ryder Silver Bullet and Ladies and Gentlemen show their diversity.
With this album Kasabian are really making an attempt at the crown of British rock royalty left vacant with the demise of Oasis. I cant see any reason they shouldn't get it.
