Press Reviews
Pink Floyd's masterpiece... Classic Rock (04/06, p.73)
8 - Excellent - "...although everything your punk rock elder brother said was undeniably true, it doesn't take a great mental leap to achieve the mind-set of the pot-smoking philosophy student and pronounce this album a super-sensory classic... NME (3/20/93, p.33)
4 Stars - Excellent Q (10/94, p.137)
Ranked #11 in Q's "100 Greatest British Albums" - "...The first art rock LP since SGT PEPPER to go properly overground....[this] was an unmistakably English LP... Q (6/00, p.80)
...The sound is lush and multi-layered while remaining clear and well-structured....a fine album with a textural and conceptual richness that not only invites, but demands involvement....the excellence of a superb performance... Rolling Stone (5/24/73, pg.57)
4 stars out of 5 - "...The subdued, darkly muttering, sombrely somnolent music of DARK SIDE OF THE MOON startles....An achievement of considerable merit... Uncut (5/03, p.112)

Comments about EMI Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon:
This is a great Pink Floyd C.D. It is better than the flawed double C.D. masterpiece The Wall. Eclipse, the last song on the C.D. is a classic track. Although psychadelic, this album could pass as normal 70's radio pop. Worth listening to.

Comments about EMI Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon:
I first bought this album way back in 1974 (where do the years go?)and played it non stop for weeks.Eventually the cassette tape sound began to deteriorate and i stopped playing it.However i came across it recently whilst browsing cd wow and bought the cd. It was like a breath of fresh air and still sounded as good today as it did all those years ago.

Comments about EMI Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon:
Beautifully produced, can tell that a lot of attention was put into the recording of this album, to listen to it through rubbish speakers is to miss half of the magic.
Full of subtle, sometimes barely audible layers, like the sampled heartbeat intro to Breathe, juxtaposed with harsh cymbal crashes and pokies coin collection samples in Money.
Has a depth few other recording do and a full range of sounds that engage the listener like no other.

Comments about EMI Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon:
one of the most iconic albums of the seventies that has stood the test of time. Released in 1973 has been a huge seller since then. addressing such issues as time, death, conflict & insanity, it was certainly a psychedelic release of the seventies.

Comments about EMI Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon:
The epic masterpiece from the Floyd. This album is so profound that is has become the epitome of progressive rock.
Not only that, it is brilliant on 2 key levels - it can be picked apart and analysed to a hugely in-depth level by muso's, but can also be enjoyed by those who just like to sing or listen for the fun of it.
A must have in everybody's music collection.
