Comments about CMB Pink Floyd - Wall:
Having bought the original vinyl recording, it was time to update to CD format. The Wall is as valid today as it was when released - complex, intense, a mix of contemporary tensions and social commentary.

Comments about CMB Pink Floyd - Wall:
This Double C.D. package presents an attempt at a revolutionary masterpiece but contains song that don't always hit the mark. There are filler songs, and two "Another Brick in the Wall" songs but it is one of the classic albums of all time and you should consider listening to it. Check out the video album also. It's very psychadelic and very strange.

Comments about CMB Pink Floyd - Wall:
This is definitely a masterwork by Roger Waters - the articulation of his alter ego, jaded with too much fame and self-reflection, expressed through a haunting, daring (in a good way) song set.
I can understand the Pink Floyd fans who don't like it, however - the music lacks that sense of escapism and magic that pervade much of the group's more communal work. Much of the material is too stylistically jarring/depressing - Waters takes us deep into his pysche here, maybe too deep.
It's definitely worth checking out, and cliched as it may be, no-one can deny Comfortably Numb it's place in the Floyd/guitar solo pantheon. But those after the ethereal works of Meddle, Dark Side and Wish You Were Here would be best checking out the post-Waters Floyd as an alternative to this.

Comments about CMB Pink Floyd - Wall:
If you have never heard of this album then where have you been and if you have never even heard of Pink Floyd then you are either a baby and have never heard of anyone yet or an alien, either way, when you get accustomed to the planet I suggest you listen to this recording in whatever format it takes at that time. It isn't my favourite Floyd, in fact it probably comes about 3rd or 4th on my list but having said that it doesn't matter as their songs are classic even further down the list than that; 'The Wall' however is one of their better known commercial songs on an extremely excellent album within an unbelievably classy body of work.

Comments about CMB Pink Floyd - Wall:
Pink Floyd:The Wall is,as far as I know, the first dark, depressing album in history. From the hostile funky groove Another Brick in the Wall Pt. 2 to the cries for help in Comfortably Numb(Which is the greatest song of all time).I've had some people say that Another Brick in the Wall Pt. 2 is trash beacause they're ignorant and don't listen to the rest of the fricken album!!. When they say "We don't need no education...."what they mean is by "education" is that over in England at that time and even today some places they virtually beat the children into submission trying to get them to do things their way. That's the education they give.Remember Pink Floyd is an English band, originating in Cambridge,England. They were all born in England and therefore that's what they grew up with.Over there that's normal.Maybe now some of the critics will change their minds. They play Another Brick in the Wall Pt. 1,The Happiest Days of Our Lives, and Another Brick in the wall Pt. 2 all in a row.Listen to the lyrics and then you'll get it.
That brings me to another point, the flow of the storyline.Basically the album is like a book which is why they were able to create a movie out of it.From Pink's(the main character, you on the second side in "In the Flesh"note not "In the Flesh?"you hear him say "Pink isn't well he stayed back at the hotel....." and on the first side in Young Lust"We have a call from Mr.Floyd to Ms.Floyd",at least it's supposed to say that but it says "Ms.Floyd to Ms.Floyd" instead. What gives?)father's death in "In the Flesh?" to abandonment by his wife("Don't Leave Me Now") to his breaking point in "Outside the Wall".It's a very sad story, but it happens.Hehehe as I'm typing the Forest Gump scene "****" happens" flashes through my head.
So in other words all you critics shut mouths and listen to entire the album.Pink Floyd schools all..!Not even the Beatles compare to them!
