Description

Stoner rock band Queens of the Stone Age return with their new album 'Songs for the Deaf', the Interscope Records follow-up to their acclaimed 2000 release Rated-R. Including guests like Foo Fighter's Dave Grohl on drums rockin' alongside vocalist/guitarist Josh Homme and vocalist/bassist Nick Oliveri include Mark Lanegan, former frontman for Screaming Trees, and Ween's Dean Ween.

"I think it's gonna take a lot of people by surprise," says bassist Nick Oliveri. "Every record's supposed to be different and grow and move. To truly be a heavy band you have to be able to fuckin' break it down. Otherwise the heavy isn't just heavy, it's fuckin' noise."

Not as quirky as other albums but still an interesting listen. It shows how diverse they are.

Comments about INTERSCOPE Queens of the Stone Age - Songs for the Deaf:

Next to their debut, the best release of the Queens!
If you ever had the luck the watch the Queens in a small venue playing Songs for the Deaf, No One Knows, The Lost Art Of Keeping A Secret, ...
you will already have this one in your collection.
And if you didn't had the luck, you should have it anyway.
