Swimming with the Big Fish

fREAK-1-C are a six-piece rock band based in West London, and "Swimming With The Big Fish" is their debut independent album, supported by D4 Recordings.

The band are best known on the Volkswagen Air-cooled scene, having made regular appearances at many of the VW Air-cooled shows for the past six years, including VW Action, VW Beach Party and VW Woodstock at Herts County Showground and Big Bang and Bug Jam at Santa Pod Raceway. Bug Jam has seen the band play to approx. 5000 people, headlining the main-stage as well as supporting acts such as The Dum Dums, Chas'n'Dave and Bad Manners.

Following in the footsteps of acts such as Coldplay, Snowpatrol and the legendary Tom Jones, the album was recorded and mixed over 8 long days at Fortress Studios and Punish Studios in Islington and mastered at Heathmans Mastering Studio by band friend Pete Cippa, who has mastered for bands including Van Halen.

"Swimming With The Big Fish" is a collection of 10 original songs and encompasses a variety of genres from rock, blues, soulnd funk. The album has been well received prior to its release, with many internet and regional radio stations play-listing tracks, with the band making live appearances on Total Rock (http://www.totalrock.com/), Blast 1386 AM and Delta FM on the week of the albums release.
