Description
A dark and Claustrophobic journey through the melodic and brilliant mind of THOM YORKE, these songs are accessible and at the same time challenging and progressive. An album that will define 2006 for so many reasons. From start to finish this an album that underpins the general uneasiness of the world at the moment.

Press Reviews
He's crammed the album with swirling pianos, sampled drums and even his own voice as a chordal backing instrument....It sounds remarkable. CMJ (p.4)
[T]he overall mood is austere and claustrophobic....THE ERASER cultivated uneasiness with snaky melodies..." -- Grade: B- Entertainment Weekly (p.78)
4 stars out of 5 -- "Yorke is in fine, soulful voice...relishing its sound as much as his words. THE ERASER has him firing on all cylinders. Q (p.110)

Comments about XL RECORDINGS Thom Yorke - Eraser:
I've owned this for a couple of years now; the copy I bought here was because my other started to wear out.
Let's start clearly; If you don't like Thom Yorke's voice, leave now. It seems to split a room. Radiohead fans won't be disappointed, but he takes things in a different direction, albeit with confident handling of Nigel Godrich.
Electronica is the order of the day, but early 'Head purists will be relieved that guitars are involved. The rhythms are often the main star attraction and on first listen can confuse, but lock into place on subsequent play. Some gut wrenching lyrics on 'Harrowdown Hill' and some good ol' fashioned downshod foreboding on the likes of 'Black Swan' and 'Skip Divided.'
For me, it has that mark of a great album... The tracks I didn't like as much at the start are now my go-to's. I play this album at least once a month. You should too.

Comments about XL RECORDINGS Thom Yorke - Eraser:
To be honest, I expected a low product... low about ideas, music and sounds. Instead, it's one of the best album that I've in my collection, not my favourite one, but it's worth the price! Please, note that I'm against download music, legal or illegal, I prefer the phisical copy.
