Press Reviews
With new influences and some widescreen moments, IT'S BLITZ finds Yeah Yeah Yeahs refreshed, rejuvenated and raring to go. Clash (magazine) (p.106)
Karen O spends much of IT'S BLITZ! delivering her yearning yowl over gently burbling keyboard chords instead of Zinner's trademark circular-saw riffs....Subbing out an instrument and switching up the tempo that way is a fairly radical change." -- Grade: B+ Entertainment Weekly (p.64)
4 stars out of 5 -- "Opener 'Zero' sees them wholeheartedly embracing the 80s revival wave -- only, trust them to do it with a fresh rawness that's as invigorating as anything on their debut EP. Record Collector (magazine) (p.96)
4 stars out of 5 -- "The turn towards the dance floor makes sense: Yeah Yeah Yeahs are drawing on a tradition of arty New York dance punk that extends from the Talking Heads to TV on the Radio, whose guitarist, Dave Sitek, co-produced IT'S BLITZ! Rolling Stone (p.82)
[T]he alternative pop album of the decade -- one that imbues the Killers' HOT FUSS and MGMT's ORACULAR SPECTACULAR with a remarkable emotional depth and finesse. Spin (p.84)
The Yeah Yeah Yeahs have once again raised the bar both for themselves and for the other bands that remain in their shadow Uncut

For me it's one of the best Albums in 2009. It has all for a Hitalbum, fast and sometimes slow and soft, wonderful songs! There is no one which you would switch off.

Comments about INTERSCOPE YEAH YEAH YEAHS - IT'S BLITZ:
A fantastic CD that is full of great tunes. There are a few slow numbers on the CD that are also really good. A pity there are only 10 tracks, as I'd love to have listened to more. This is my first Yeah Yeah Yeah's CD but I will be hunting down more after listening to this. They are one of my new favourites and has been on in my car since I got it. My track highlights are Zero, Heads will Roll and Dull Life.

Comments about INTERSCOPE YEAH YEAH YEAHS - IT'S BLITZ:
Yeah Yeah Yeahs have covered new ground with "It's Blitz". Songs like Runaway and Hysteric show a much more vulnerable, softer and sweeter side of this punk rock band.
On first listen I wondered about the acoustic tracks at the end of the album, I thought that slow and sweet songs weren't really what I wanted from the YYYs. But by the 5th listen, they were my favourite songs.
The album also features hits like Heads Will Roll and Zero that make you want to throw your arms in the air, like you just don't care...
YYYs deserve every little bit of positive feedback that they receive. They're one of the best bands of this era. This is another great album of theirs.
