Description
The original Ealing Comedy classic is released on DVD.
Alec Guiness stars as the wiley Professor Marcus who, together with his gang, seeks refuge in little old Mrs. Wilberforce's (Katie Johnson) spare room. Masquerading as a string quartet, the crooks (including Peter Sellers, Herbert Lom, Cecil Parker and Danny Green) are really in town for a daring daylight robbery.
Unfortunately all does not go according to plan and they are forced to kill their landlady before she blows their cover. Mrs. Wilberforce, however, has other ideas.
A surprisingly dark and devilish delight.
