Description
"We are coming." Every child on Earth stops at the same time, throwing the world into chaos, and requiring the expertise of the secret government agency called Torchwood. This five hour long mini-series from the popular sci-fi show starts off where season two left off. As Captain Jack Harkness (John Barrowman) and his teammates, Gwen Cooper (Eve Myles) and Ianto Jones (Gareth David-Lloyd), deal with their most recent losses, a new alien threat looms, calling for their action. However, high up members of their own British government are complicit with the aliens and, as Gwen and Ianto dig deeper into the mystery of what the aliens want and why, they discover that their own leader may have a connection or two to the invaders. As children continue to transmit the messages from the aliens, Torchwood is driven into hiding and declared enemies of the state. While trying to save the world, each member of the team must deal with the aliens on the most personal level of all - family - and consider making the greatest sacrifice of all.
This critically acclaimed series, which won the IGN's Editor's Choice Award, has been praised as carrying on the great BBC tradition of Doctor Who and taking the universe to another, darker place.
