Description
The classic 1950's science fiction movie, that is a social commentary on the political climate of America. This film focuses on human nature, both the good and the bad aspects.
A messenger arrives (in humanoid form)in a space ship, which lands Washington DC, to warn the world to stop its' violent behaviour. In the panic caused by the space ship landing leads to a soldier shooting and wounding the messenger. A Robot accompanying the messenger then destroys Washington, as the messenger escapes to a hospital.
The messenger then integrates into to society and lives with a family to observe human behaviour.
Directed by Robert Wise, who also directed West Side Story.
