Description
Hong Kong director Derek Yee fashions a stylish crime drama that is at once a conventional genre piece and a moody, Wong Kar Wai-like study of urban ennui with his award-winning ONE NIGHT IN MONGKOK. When a gangland war escalates in the eponymous Hong Kong neighborhood, a mainland hitman (Daniel Wu) is sent in to clean up the mess in a nocturnal odyssey that finds him pursuing his designated hit through the crowded city streets while befriending a vulnerable prostitute (Cecilia Cheung) and dodging a police inspector (Alex Fong).
