Synopsis

A sprawling epic of family, faith, power and oil There Will Be Blood chronicles the life and times of Daniel Plainview (Daniel Day Lewis), who transforms hiomself from a down and out silver miner raising a son on his own - into a self-made oil tycoon.

Based loosely upon Upton Sinclair's novel Oil, There Will Be Blood is directed by Academy Award nominee Paul Thomas Anderson (Punch Drunk Love, Magnolia, and Boogie Nights) and stars Academy Award winner Daniel Day Lewis (My Left Foot and Gangs of New York) and Paul Dano (Little Miss Sunshine).
