To set up their huge comeback a decade after ex-member Robbie Williams left the group, pop rock band Take That have released their first live album ‘The Greatest Day’. Gary Barlow, Mark Owen, Howard Donald, and Jason Orange were thrilled to be able to make more music, but weren’t expecting to see as many fans flock back.
The two-disc DVD holds two performances by the popular four on The Circus tour, which was seen by over a million people. The first disc is the final performance of their live tour, playing at Wembley Stadium in July of 2009. Combining two nights of concerts, Take That belt out their greatest hits like ‘Shine’ and ‘Back For Good’. This DVD captures the sounds of the fastest-selling concert in UK history (600,000 tickets in five hours).
The second disc contains a special recording of Take That, performing at Abbey Road Studios for 300 fans. The British pop group that captivated a predominantly female audience still has an effect, even with a ten year break.
