Description
Clint Eastwood returns to the big screen as Walt Kowalski, a cantankerous veteran of the Korean War, who catches his young Hmong neighbour attempting to steal his cherished 1972 Gran Torino, urging him to try and reform the boy of his burgeoning criminal ways.
Plot Synopsis
Hardworking Oscar winner Clint Eastwood releases his second film in 2008 (after THE CHANGELING) with this drama. Eastwood also stars as Walt Kowalski, an older man and retired Korean War hero who holds onto his prejudices despite the changes in his neighbourhood and the world around him. However, when he catches a local kid trying to steal his prized car—the Gran Torino of the title—as part of a gang initiation, Walt overcomes his bigoted outlook and decides to put the boy on the right path.
