Comments about Half-Life 2 [Orange Box] (Xbox 360):
The Orange Box contains Portal, Team Fortress 2 and chapters of Half-Life 2.
Portal is fairly short, but what it lacks in length it makes up for with innovative gameplay. The player is given a gun which can create portals that they can then use to navigate each level. Problem solving is the main genre of gameplay, but there's also elements of a platform game. Easily frustrated gamers may not enjoy Portal, but it's fairly easy to complete with a little patience. The game is well-written and humorous.
Team Fortress 2 is an online FPS with a range of classes with different weapons and skills to have fun with. The cartoony art style and character taunts make the game really amusing.
Half-Life 2 is also good, the graphics and storyline are impressive. A downside of the game is that it's a sequel and players new to the series may not fully understand the plot.
In Half-Life 2 there may be times when the player misses instructions, since they are allowed to walk around the area whilst other characters deliver exposition, but that really depends on their attention span.
I actually bought this for a friend, as I already own it on other platforms and realised that it was a must-play for any gamer.

Comments about Half-Life 2 [Orange Box] (Xbox 360):
This boxset contains 5 seperate games all of which are great in their own right.
First you get Half Life 2 and it's 2 sequels which make for a great game and will keep you busy for ages. The game is a played in first player mode and takes into account a number of different genres each of which work brilliantly together and tie in well with the overall story. The game is easy to get to grips with and just difficult enough to keep you on your toes as you work your way through the beautifully rendered world and well thought out storyline.
You also get 2 other games
Portal which is a puzzle game and will certainly keep you occupied until the early hours trying to figure out some of the infuriating puzzles which look simple and yet some how seem difficult to finish.
Team Fortress this is one of the best on-line shooters ever with a number of different roles you can play (soldier, sniper, doctor, engineer, etc) each role has it's own characteristics and these are best applied in team mode online.
