Description
The core belief of Quantic Dream is the power of video games being a delivery for storyline. The interactivity of games allows the player to choose what they want to unfold, and discover. With this, Heavy Rain puts you in control of four different characters, all with different lives. The basis of the game surrounds the moral choices we make in order to save the ones we love. Every choice affects the story. So much so, that if a character dies in the game, that character is gone for good. With such an open field for choice, this game promises to provide multiple replayability opportunities.
The game’s attention to detail is immaculate. With fantastic use of stop-motion acting and voice-over work, the movements and expressions the characters make help wash away the idea that you’re playing a game, and instead experiencing a story. The controls are simple, and while incorporating the single button or movement play of a God of War or Shenmue game, they work extremely well for the situations you'll face.

Not a game so much as an "interactive movie".People looking for an action oriented game may want to look elsewhere,as this game requires you to interact in "scenes" by reacting to certain events.The game itself is very linear,but crucially has many different paths the story may take depending on your choices.Extremely well scripted,acted & directed,even allowing for a few plot holes,this is an enjoyable experience if you treat this for what it is,a movie you have some control over.There are some very adult-oriented themes here,& some nudity including a sex scene so not recommended for younger gamers.I enjoyed this very much but more as an experience,rather than as a must play gaming title.

This is one of the best games that I have played all year. A remarkable achievement in gaming that creates an insane amount of interactive experience. Normand Corbeil does an amazing job on the soundtrack that captures the emotion of this game. This is a Must get game for Hardcore fans of the Thriller Genre.

This game is like no other on the market and it was good to take a break from playing all the generic FPSs out there. I thouroughly enjoyed it and recommend it to any PS3 owners who haven't played it yet. Although perhaps looking into getting the new Move Edition may be worth it as this would greatly benefit from the motion sensing controller.

This will be unlike any gaming experience you've ever had. Having just completed my first play-though, I am eager to begin my second, and take a different approach to each scene. The story will have you guessing who the origami killer is right to the very end.
