Description

The first entry in a new series, Professor Layton and the Curious Village is a collection of 150 brainteasers presented in an adventure-style format. Professor Layton is sent to investigate the village of St. Mystere, whose offbeat residents take delight in baffling visitors with riddles, sliding puzzles, optical illusions, spatial reasoning, mazes, and tests of logic. Players can interact with a number of characters, explore various areas around the village, and learn more of the story through hand-drawn animated cut-scenes. By solving each puzzle, players will move closer to discovering the whereabouts of an affluent baron's prized treasure. In addition to touch-screen controls, The Curious Village on DS supports downloadable content via Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. Scott Alan Marriott.

Comments about Professor Layton & the Curious Village (Nintendo DS):

Do not judge this game by it's cover, make no mistake Professor Layton and the Curious Village is one of the best original puzzle games you'll play on the DS yet. Okay so the story line isn't the strongest, but this game was all about the puzzles for me. It was very entertaining and challenging, kept me puzzled for hours.

I don't play many of my Nintendo DS games often but I just can't put this one down!

Excellent puzzles that range from easy to mega hard - excellent game for all ages and would be excellent for children who have an appetite for learning as the range of puzzles are great.

Comments about Professor Layton & the Curious Village (Nintendo DS):

Professor Layton & the Curious Village is the first of the Layton games.
            I really liked this one!
The game has a great story, nice graphics and A LOT of puzzles.
If you like using your brain while playing games then this is the game for you.

The only negative thing I can say about this game is that some puzzles are a bit far fetched and some to hard.
But you can always get clues!
            Enjoy!

Comments about Professor Layton & the Curious Village (Nintendo DS):

This is a very addictive and well thought out game. In some places the puzzles can be impossible to solve but there are plenty of guides on the internet. Also new puzzles can be downloaded from the internet, which is a very cool feature! In my opinion every DS owner should go out and buy this game!

Comments about Professor Layton & the Curious Village (Nintendo DS):

I used the game to relax. It is great that one can save the level that one is working on. The games that you cannot crack at once, can be gone back to.
I found the voices when one messed a puzzle, very boring.
